Virtual Dishwashers

Never unload your dishwasher... use multiple racks on wheels.

Recently I thought how nice it would be to have two dishwashing machines. Then I could alternate them as clean and dirty and never have to unload the dishwasher again!

So instead of two dishwashers, two sets of dish racks with a wheeled frame mechanism to allow you to move them into the dishwasher for washing or over to a cabinet for storage.. all without manually moving each individual dish.

Another option is to have the dishwasher itself move over the racks. Each rack would have a wall at the back which would seal in place of where the dishwasher door usually is. These racks could be hinged to separate for better access to dishes.

Yes, I'm a bachelor.

Time to build a prototype!

       I'd buy this!

Married for 27 years, but neither of us especially draw toward domestic drudgery.

Dish drawers work this way. They are effectively 2 separate dishwashers so you can alternate one for dirty dishes with one to source clean dishes. The biggest drawback is the stainless steel fronts don't allow for magnetic "clean" and "dirty" signs.

Mother of god, this is revolutionary.

Wow, I'd buy one. Can't believe nobody's thought of this before. [+]

Did they really use non-magnetic stainless steel? I would expect that they'd use magnet-friendly 302.
