(Inspired by [UnaBubba]'s CarouSupermarket... somewhat obtusely.)
Customers are strapped into a roller-coaster car, which takes them on a 200 km/hr circuit of the shop. They can grab items as they go past (not on shelves, of course - maybe stuck to some sort of hanger), and the whole shopping trip
is over in a few minutes. Have as many turns as you like in the one session. May not be advisable with bulk-quantity items.

(raises hand) Is this gonna hurt? |

Do you get the customers free samples of pizza rolls and bagel bites by launching them at high speed from cannons on the side of the track? |

Yes! Brilliant idea [DN]. |

I just remembered, I'm alergic to
hurty. |

[jutta] - I did briefly consider that, but it was time to go home :P I'm thinking, maybe some sort of shop supplied mitt or glove? Although I dread to think what would happen to a loaf of bread being gloved at 200km/hr. |

I just pulled a figure out of a hat, by the way. Maybe I should revise it downwards... |

Or upwards for easy guacamole or scrambled eggs. |

Jai-alai cestas might be useful, they're made for high speeds. |

[Worldgineer] I think it would probably produce more of a meringue like substance. |

This ride would be well-suited to people who want to buy a pair of trousers. Quickly. Feet first. |
