VP Shooting Cage

Extended Zimmer frame

A lawyer protecting add-on the the Vice Presidential zimmer frame. The VP Shooting Cage is a rigid aluminium structure that bolts on to the zimmer and limits the swing of any weapon to an arc of 20 degrees directly in front of the VP.

To avoid the VP swinging suddenly further to his left (he can't get any further to his right apparently) there is also a long trailing metal beam out behind the frame, upon which several of his security detail stand, as dangerous baby quail are tossed up in the air in front of him.

Why protect lawyers you say? Well, some of my best friends and HalfBakers are lawyers.

GW: You're going hunting with the VP next weekend.
Lawyer: But, I promised I wouldn't testify!

I'm not stupid, but I have no idea what the hell you just said [consulflaminicus].

Maybe it's because I don't know what the hell a zimmer is.

       And I don't read newspapers.

DRBC: it takes about two seconds on Google to find out what a Zimmer frame is. But don't worry, this is a pretty lame joke.

I wish I'd read this yesterday. This morning I made a bad zimmer frame joke in a collegue's birthday card and had to spend an inordinate amount of time explaining it.
