This is a urinal with a snack dish built into the top next to the sweaty pipe that sticks out of the top.

The purpose is to have a convenient place from which to offer urinators finger food snacks like trail mix or pretzels or nuts.

vfrackis is on a roll! I am worried when the snacks were gone people in places where people smoke would use the dish for an ash tray.

Maybe a toilet paper roll up there would be good. It would get people thinking, for sure.

I would think there could be some kind of chute built from a dispenser that slides forward to the front of the urinal.(approx. 5'5" high) This way one may snack without using hands. Foot operated pedal dispenses one mouthful of nuts and then you snack & zip up.

Oh, you mean like darkroom chow.

do you mean a chute like the stainless steel straw that hamsters drink from similar to that?
vfrackis, Feb 27 2014

Darkroom chow is dispensed in photographic darkrooms, or was pre-digital, where a large volume of prints need to be created in a short period of time, and there is no opportunity to leave, eat, wash oils from hands so as not to carry them onto printing paper and negatives.

There's a dispenser at head height operated by a foot pedal. It's effectively a granola feeder for artists.

i have never ever heard of that before now
