 One username and password for all (or most) web forums

I register on a new forum about once every other day. I'm sick of reentering the same info over and over. Why not just have some server somewhere that hosts your general forum info and allows you to log on to every participating forum. Could have built in support on major forum software (vBulletin, phpBB, etc).
