The Unicode standards people should be lobbied to get 4 characters officially and permanently assigned to the bun, bone, half bun and half bone.

It wouldn't help us directly here, as the halfbakery doesn't support unicode.

Interestingly, Opera's spellcheck doesn't like 'halfbakery', 'unicode', or 'spellcheck'. They're all words by now, aren't they?

Good point. But still worth it for the convenience and amusement of the rest of the world?

If the Unicode standards people accepted <link>, then bun/bone seems almost like a realistic proposition.

OK how do we submit an official proposal then? (I considered it a couple of years ago for some obscure 17th century music glyphs but never found the approriate submissions protocol).

//obscure 17th century music glyphs// A little modern for my tastes. Still, no neumes is good neumes.
