Lots of people like squirrelling plastic figurines under plastic on shelves.

But what they are actually squirreling away are the idea of little people under plastic on shelves.

This is a club called 'Under Plastic' where performers set themselves into transparent form-fitted plastic bas relief molds, and are well tied up with plastic straps and then are fitted into a cardboard or paper box. The boxes are then presented on a stage.

Patrons are given scissors, and as appropriate, a pack of batteries.

When I was an evil little shit I went to Disney World and, in a ride, threw a piece of trash at one of the figurines. I didn't expect it to hit. I also didn't expect to see a human immediately (less than five seconds) grab the figure of a child and pull it backstage. It was many years later that I learned that the Small World ride uses actual human actors and actresses in places. I had thrown garbage at a human child. This is one of the things I most wish I never did.

This is horrifying. But it's also classic half-baking. [=]
