UP

So I had to cut down a massive tree becsause the previous owners let it grow for like twenty years in the middle of a septic field.
I thought the excavation guy was pulling a ferret out of the pipe but it was just roots.

That was three years ago.
I now have an enormous dead stump to deal with.

Since it is within the playground I'm going to chainsaw carve this stump into a shape which will anchor the base of a tensegrity suspended platform.

I then intend to build a tree-house mimicking the one in the movie UP on top of this platform.

We just purchased a couple of fake helium balloon displays and I'm going to attach more of them to the chimney portion of this tensegrity tree-fort and it is going to blow the minds of both children and parents alike.

Why?

Well because I can of course.

The tree-house will appear to float in mid air held aloft by balloons while seemingly held to Earth only by its chains.

It's gonna be epic.
