I love my garden, but my back is getting cranky with the bending over and pulling or trimming grass as grass and weeds invade my garden. I have a little folding stool which has wonderful pockets for tools and for a water bottle, but I have to frequently get up and move the whole assembly over. Why can't
I just stand and trim? (and a weed whacker is too much power for the small areas so please don't suggest I get another weed whacker.)
So I imagine a shoe with steel toes and a mechanism inside which, if you stomp on a spring trigger, two stainless steel 4 inch blades protruding from the toe will scissor together. You can stand and guide the toe and cut off the long grasses growing on the edge of the garden. I hope to have an illustration soon.
Weeding is another problem, I'm working on a digging and pulling mechanical "finger" imbedded in a shoe to yank out the weeds, but that is more complex.
Thank you for your time.

I think I'd rather have a little battery-powered rover stool to move me around. |

Rosa Klebb (Lotte Lenya) of S.P.E.C.T.R.E in "From Russia With Love" would have treasured shoes like these for her golden retirement days. |

In addition to the Trimmer Shoes, you should get a pair of Strap-On Edging Spurs to give your lawn a finished, well-manicured look. |

As long as running with them indoors can put out an eye, my Mum will give them her blessing. |

At the risk of injecting a pragmatic tone
to the conversation, wouldn't you be
better off with some long-handled
edging shears and a good sharp Dutch
hoe? |

Wishing I had these shoes now, the weeds are stalking the petunias. |
