The first collapsible section of reinforced plastic taken from the pack looks like nothing more than a large curved hook with an "L" shaped wedge flap and a spike attached. Looking more closely you can see that the inner edge of the "hook" is lined with blunted spikes. and that both the "wedge" and
its individual spike can fold outwards 90 degrees from the plane of the hook.
The hook is placed around the trunk of the tree you wish to ascend at a foot or so off the ground so that when the wedge shaped tread is lowered and weight is placed on it the pressure between the upper hook and the L shaped spike-tread cause the first of many stair treads to firmly keep its place on the tree creating a spiral staircase.
Lifting on an individual stair tread levers out the lower spike section with minimal effort.

Well... public disclosure ensures date of origination which confers First to Invent right, which has itself been illegally, unconstitutionally, and therefore only temporarily taken from me, so unless there is prior art, (which I haven't checked), then the very first IP court case with "actual" rather than "potential" damages, filed by someone who can afford it, will see the politicians heads pulled from their asses by the Supreme court and the rights to this and all my other 'lil brainchildns retoined to they Pappa where they belong. |

Once the North American rights have been re-established maybe the hoodwinked UK rights will garner some closer scrutiny... |
