       I just kept on thinking of the M*A*S*H episode where they have the Derby races, and Blake is the commentator saying, "and Pierce rounds the corner, in the lead, with Bouun-cing Betty!" "Pierce in the lead with Bouun-cing Betty!"

       And hurdles you have to go under.

       //they have the Derby races// Gurney == Derby ?

       You know how many accidents happen on trampolines normally, imagine how many will happen when you have a bunch of competitive steroid-users tearing across one with a hole in the middle!

       All tracks kept in prime condition, and yes, the Gurney races were their version of Derby Day.

       Problem with this is that there will be times when you come down just after someone else has, and you hit the dip in the tramp (without elasticity), and you crumple to the ground.

       Maybe that won't be so much a problem as an entertaining sidebar.

       Thats the whole idea. Make track racing more interesting to watch/do. Trampolines need skill to run a race on.

       Add vertical tramps on the inside and outside, as walls, so people can bank around the corners and make dramatic "up and around" passes.

       I was thinking this was a track made out of a series of trampolines, spaced in such a way as to accomodate a good bounce-height-speed ratio. But any mistake would mean a painful fall...

       Poles are padded, as to avoid injuries. I've never been hurt on a trampoline, aside from getting jumped on by a large person when I was a kid.
