Tramping

weighted walking to give credit where its due

To watching the contest of walking, for me personally, is quite painful. It seems like unnaturally forcing a motion that just should be running. What if contestants had to wear backpacks of a weight that would make running energetically costly. It would just make more sense, a worthy achievement.

       Add longer distance events - say 1.6 or even 5-10 km - to the sport of wife carrying's standard 253-ish m, and I think you'd about have it.
