Not that I'm taking this seriously, but is this sigificantly
different than a hair trigger? The reason they aren't
generally designed that way is safety. |
Of course you could always pop up a happy little helper
icon to confirm the shot. "It looks like you are trying to
shoot someone. Tap twice to confirm". |
"Are you sure you want to shoot someone, that's a fairly
major step, have you tried talking it out? Tap twice to
confirm." |
"It looks like your head has been bashed in by a chunk of
rebar, would you still like to shoot? Tap twice to
confirm." |
"Hello new user, thanks for exchanging that bloody piece
of rebar for your previously unfired BUNGCO Special.
Please remember to send in your registration card." |

For some reason, I was thinking of a camera's shutter rather than a weapon's trigger... I quite liked that, but the idea for a weapon scares the bejesus out of me. |
Shirley the simpler solution is to have the trigger
connected to the gun by a flexible coupling - a bit
like the remote shutter release on a camera? |
Or perhaps the self-timer? |
This is the very epitome of a halfbaked idea by the most
excellent bungston. A big giant croissant is the least I can
give, and did so about an hour ago. |
Interesting, but I'll wait for the military to sort it out first. |

If someone hasn't invented the handgun selfie-stick
yet, they should. |

heh, actually, a Bluetooth camera-gun could work. Take the
Stick mounted Bluetooth camera-gun, point it round a
hostile corner, identify something that needs a good
shooting on your linked phone screen... tap, boom, dead. |

A remote aimed remote fired gun would be good, esp if one could set it up quick. |
A pulldown tripod from the gun would get it out of your warm, jiggly wiggliness although a gun with recoil might go flying on being fired. Plug in phone with touchpad directions for barrel up, down left, right would allow aiming without jiggling. A phone telescopic sight would also be intuitive and useful. |

A row of these atop the trench would be much better than a periscope. |

"It's no good Captain. We've tried everything, but the
enemy is all Android and our men are firing with iOS." |
Maybe you fire by using a touch gesture of some
kind. Involving the pointed middle finger somehow
seems natural. |
