Toothpaste Set
A box of mini-toothpaste tubes, in mixable colors, for children and the young at heart | |
Picture a typical paintset - small tubes each containing a different color. Now substitute the paint with toothpaste, so you can daub the colors of your choice on your toothbrush, and mix them in your mouth.
Each color will have a corresponding flavor, mostly fruit flavors, I think, because they
will mix best, but we could do some market research here to investigate other possibilities.

I know it sounds strange, but I was
thinking of this exact idea last night. I
work with paint and printing colours that
come in the form of squeezable tubes all
the time. [+] - Didn't take long for the
autoboner to strike. |

They could probably all be the same flavor. Kids would imagine they taste different. |
//Kids would imagine they taste different// Like Skittles? |
This is a capital idea. +'s from the stingiest of bunners should be donated. |
Would the colours be permanent ? |
Skittles don't all taste the same, damnit. |
You could paint your teeth then brush 'em. |
Coloured contact lenses exist, so why not coloured teeth ? |
Won't kids just use it to "paint' the sink, the mirror, etc. Why would they waste it by mixing it together and putting it in their mouths? PS Skittles all taste the same. |

"...... if you only knew the power of the Dark Side of the toothbrush ....." |

//+ ...is there black?// I used to have a
toothpowder called "monkey brand" which
was basically a slightly flavoured soot. It
worked a treat. - delightful packaging -

Bloody hell, it's real.... thought it was a wind-up. Charcoal tooth powder ... interesting idea. |

By way of HB experiment, I am consuming a bag of Regular Fruit Skittles from the vending machine as I type. |

Speaking as one for whom as a young Californian Halloween was a one-night event (i.e. there was no trace of the giant pillow case full of candy come All Saint's Day morning, save for the annual stomach wretching), I must say that it's probably only those of us largely that desensitized to sugar that can distinguish the flavor among the different colours. To everyone else I am certain they all taste like chewy clumps of vaguely fruity-enhanced sugar. |

8th: gunpowder - the *real* black powder - has been used historically for toothpaste. |
// used...... for toothpaste // |
Just don't try it with modern nitrocellulose-based propellants ..... |
Also used to make a "rum and gunpowder" cocktail, favoured by pirates who wanted to show how hard they were. It tastes DISGUSTING and makes the drinker feel rather strange - probably an effect of the potassium nitrate. |
