Smells generated by bodily functions escape from the toilet bowl when a person stands up. By the time one sprays air freshener, the smell has had time to spread throughout the bathroom area. This device would dispense air freshener into the bowl area when the person stand up.
When the person sits
down, the device would be primed. The action of standing up would remove the pressure from the seat and the air freshener is then dispensed. A person could also have air freshner dispensed during their time on the toilet by just partially standing so as to remove pressure from the toilet seat.

I checked and there is nothing related to the air freshner being released when the person stands up. When the person is sitting, much of the smell is contained in the air space between the bowl and the person. Releasing the air freshener when the person stands up catches the odor before it can spread too far. |

Thats what the can of Glade on the tank is for. Though not as automated as your idea. |

[UB] Are you really surprised, him having a name like that an' all. |

I don't really like any kind of air-freshener although having a boyfriend that smells like mine does, I sometimes wish I did (eh?). |

The seat needs to spray something like Febreez instead of your usual run-of-the mill air freshener. That way, the smell is neutralized rather than just covered up. |

I hope you get paid for that, [tchai]. |
