The situation where kids need to take turns using toys or an activity, which can done only one at a time, is very common and in many cases requires the intervention of an adult.
The idea is to place a sand timer near the popular activity and keep a very simple rule: when the activity is occupied and
you want to be next all you need to do is flip the sand timer, and as soon as it's over it's you turn.

Electroshock_20Turn_20Enforcement_20Toy ...which nobody seemed to like. [riromero, Apr 01 2005]

A giant sand timer? Filled with yellow sandpit sand? |

Why not have a LCD timer display physically in the TOY itself, and the toy will beep when your turn is over. |

I 'm trying to figure out why this doesn't
strike me as an invention, and I have to
admit that I can't. |
