In these recent years I have seen many storage facilities
pop up from people downsizing their homes, moving into
smaller places, etc. Looking at rental rates for storage
facilities, I feel it a waste of money to pay for your stuff to
just sit there.
How about a bare bones solution:
stack
shipping containers into a warehouse, they will serve
as your storage space. A forklift and driver will be
available to lift people to containers to store and retrieve
items. The inside of the containers can be partitioned off
simply with fencing and locks, so more than a couple
people can share storage within a single container.
Your privacy is not ensured, and your items might be
subjected to a wider range of temperatures, but it should
be cheap.

You want to lift paying customers up on *forklifts*? Fraid that's not going to be terribly popular with your insurance company, or with OHS inspectors. Run some scaffold walkways along the front of the container stack, and keep the forklifts for the goods (in through the back). |

They sort of have this here already, other than the customer lifting and portioned boxes, but they do come in various sizes.

Come to think of it, why in a warehouse? As long as the walkways are covered, it could be in an open yard. |

decorations that don't need as much security, and
are only accessed once a year. |
