It was just election day here in NJ
I brought my son to the voting center and he stood in the booth with me to cast my vote.
My proposal is for a child sized voting booth, every child must vote for their favorite fictional character.
Thus making them feel like part of the democratic process.
So
they get to vote but their vote does not count toward a real election.
Parents could have a record of every creature or character that their children voted for and maybe know them more.
I have a thought that the prime candidates in the real election should all have a two faced muppet version of themselves for children to vote for but how to orchestrate that seems confusing.
Overall my idea is that ultimately the results of the Muppet Vote could be something somewhat more positive for the news channels to report.
I would love to find out that Spongebob was more important to our youth than barney.
(?) There has been precedence.

Already, as soon as they're old enough to hold a joystick,
they can enter into the fun and games of adult acivities such
as auto theft, drug-dealing, war, the robbing of antiquities
and even football. And now you want to familiarize juveniles
with the sordid underworld of politics? |
|
|
Yes, why not ? Introduce them to a spectrum of lies, double-dealing, callous indifference to the suffering of others, arrogance, duplicity, selfishness, greed, emotional blackmail and exploitation. |

Excellent preparation for married life. |

It would be interesting to see the data. Whims and
all. How about anyone can register and vote but only
the correct category can count. |
