This hat is a hat of the modren age. It employs the charging concept of the shaker flashlight and lets the wearer choose the level of light they feel appropriate for the current task.
When you walk the up & down motion charges the hat. When you sit down at your desk you can chose to have your workspace
lit by your monitor or if the task requires it, flip out a flexible lamp & activate it for task reading light.
In a group of Illuminhatti you can all turn the brim a secret degree and have LED's light the conference room. (just be sure to pipe in something uptempo).

Imagine a warehouse full of ravers, each with their own personal lighting rig - sunglasses compulsory to avoid blindness! The faster you dance, the brighter the lights... |

//the shaker flashlight // I thought the Shakers were like the Amish, and only used kerosene lamps? sp "modern" |
|

[coprocephalous], I grew up close to Amish country. I think the Shakers were a bit different. (my dad contracted the Amish to build the stairs & cabinets in the house I lived in for my teenage years. - nice house he (my dad) designed at the end of the 70's energy crisis - I wish the house were still in the family, but wishes & fishes, well, you know) |

I toured Shaker estates when I was a young impressionable youth. The 2' thick walls in every building were most impressive. The level of craftmanship was, again, most impressive. Their concept of Equality was most unimpressive, I'll shout. |

I forgot. I came back to this idea to repent! The illuminati, I think now, are not something to joke around about. I voted against the idea & even forgot why.Everyone in the world should know!!! They, The Illuminatti, are bad, terrible, incompetent, ... you name it... spreaders of jam on toast! (Help? mind control?) Bwahh haaahh haaah haa! - just kidding! |

|
Um, what? Illuminatti, toast, bad, repent...what? My head hurts..I can't compute..BLAMO!! <head explodes leaving headless corpse sitting at computer> |

Oh. I was expecting a secret society of gorgeous women - The Illuminhotti. |

Like a pyramid shaped hat with an eyeball in the top? |
|
|
Yes, but attached to a flexible semi rigid umbilical that can retract back into the hat. (I had to change my vote back to neutral after seeing [wiml]'s link. Take that Illuminatti! |

Did not immediately find a better idea to attach the
the "gravity powered light" link -- very clever |
