Are you one of those common mortals who have wished you were the protagonist of those old scary stories? A ghost-house type attraction wont do? Do you think that tomb raiders, ghostbusters, vampire slayers, exorcists and witchhunters have been keeping all the fun for themselves since ancient times?
In
most holiday destinations, many of the fun activities are meant to be done during the day. At The Haunted Resorts, a Halloween and all year long destination, it all begins as night falls. Each resort is located in mystery-surrounded places around the world like Salem, MA; Transylvania, Romania; Guanajuato, México; Egypt, India, London, etc.
The ancient buildings, huts and lodges give you a glimpse of another moment in history, yet adapted with the necessary to meet their guests need for adrenaline.
During the day youre engaged in regular holiday activities depending on the haunted destination of your choice: walk through the forests of Transylvania and visit Draculas castle in Romania, trek the Fijian jungle where the former cannibal tribes still live, tour the Pyramids and shop for antiques at the flea market in Egypt, or just stay in all day playing chess or exploring the secret passages of the London resort, where the strangely silent, pale staff will begin to look creepy and act suspiciously, appearing from nowhere behind your back and leaving unseen through the passages in between the walls, where pictures hang, looking straight at you.
As the sun light fades the Coronel (Resort manager) locks the hotel doors to respect the curfew time: 7 p.m. After dinner in a huge candle-lit dining room (for lack of electricity), guests pull up a chair or gather round the fire and get ready for the Coronels story of ghosts and other supernatural events occurred in that very place.
Too late you realize that the rest of the staff has just vanished
and so will the Coronel. The rest of the night youll see the shadow of seaweed-covered phantom sailors and a ghostly black (trained) dog cruising the corridors, hear otherwordly voices coming from the hall and things that go bump in the night, and feel an icy wind on the back of your neck on a warm summer evening as you hide behind that torture chair in your suite, where the big armoir has just shut its doors closed in the middle of the night.
You try to sleep, but you hear steps approaching your door on the squeaky wooden floor...
Book a suite for this halloween!

Expedia must be taking hints from the HB now ...

Sweet! This sounds like alot of fun....croissant |

I like it. But only if, at the end of your stay, you get to rip off the Coronel's dodgy rubber mask and reveal that he was actually Old Man Perkins, the shifty-looking janitor, all along. But maybe that's just because I'm a pesky kid at heart. |

I've been looking for such places. ++ |

See, [po], that's why sharing a computer isn't always fun. |

My sister's husband has wished all his life for a paranormal experience to happen to him... and I assumed that there's lots of people like him, which led me to this idea. I'm sure those who really happen to live in a "haunted" place, or have had real scary experiences won't think it's as fun as other people think. Unlike them, I think it's interesting. |

[jutta]: Idea title fixed. |

Well... it was THR. I thought anything cryptic would add into the "scary" sense of the idea ;) |

//London resort, where the strangely silent, pale staff will begin to look creepy and act suspiciously// |

|
Croissant for [lostdog]'s annotation. |
|
|
[Pericles] if your sister's husband sends me a blank cheque I guarantee he will have a terrifying experience next time he checks his bank account. |

Definite bun, sounds like a great weekend to be had... maybe a bit much for a week long stay though. |

Also, what [rambling_sid] said re. London |
|
|
//London resort, where the strangely silent, pale staff//, etc. |
|

Surely, then, LHR (London Heathrow) - where the dead rise from their long-haul flights in search of international connections to yet another time-zone. |
|
|
London Heathrow!?!?!?!!!!!
