I like to chew gum. Many of us do. But when we get to a restaurant we are in a pickle when it comes to gum disposal.
As we sit at the table we can a) put it in the corner of a paper napkin and have a lump in the napkin; b) use a WHOLE paper napkin (wasteful); c) put it in the wrapper that we have
kept for just such an occasion (yeah, right); or d) stick it in some random piece of paper we find somewhere, if we can find one at all.
The Gumkin is a small napkin in a small dispenser that elegantly graces all restaurant tables in the ideal future world, dispensing gum-sized napkins for us gum-chewing folks. Hail The Gumkin!

Anything which discourages leaving gum on tables, trays, etc. at food courts is a very, VERY good thing. |

I think it's a good idea. Any place is better than sticking your ABC gum to the underbelly of a table or desk. Especially *my* desks at school... ::glech:: |

e) Put it back in the wrapper it came in |

Self destructing gum...it dissolves after the taste is gone...I wonder if that is possible... |

I carry a packet of cigarette papers for this very purpose. Simply place the gum in the paper, stick it down and dispose of it in a responsible manner. |

In the dives that I eat, the knapkins are already so small that they would do just nicely - that gives me a new idea......Knapkin splicer. |
