Expensive, difficult, slightly dangerous, not particularly effective... I'm on a roll.

The owner of the team chooses the team-mates based how well rounded they are or by their specific area of expertise because s/he doesn't know the sport they will be playing next season.

The team mates give their measurements so their sport equipment can be ready for them next season.

A panel of judges makes up the rules and equipment of next season's game announces it two weeks before the season begins. At that time the teams get their equipment and their rules. Anything can stay and anything can change.

Maybe next season, they can only run backwards with the use of specialized mirror helmets, maybe the goal is a net on one of the team- mates. Will they replace the astroturf with hot tar? You will just have to wait until next season to find out.

Sounds crazy, but with thoughtful scripting would be good fun. +

       Calvinball?
phoenix, Aug 20 2003

Calvinball would need computers to make it possible. Sports that change and calvinball would be good for humans with ADHD to be able to want to play.

       Think of the trading cards.

Sounds kinda like "American Gladiators" but less hokey.

I've always wanted to play Calvinball. This is probably as close as one could get. Crossie! ^__^

       Got my vote.

Not really calvinball because that changes as you play. This game just changes with the season. Is it Co-Ed?
macncheesy, Jul 27 2004

       Heck yeah, it's Co-Ed.
