The Bus

You can hop on, but you can't hop off

Ok this is totally unethical (but isn't all reality TV?) A seemingly regular bus instead of taking it's usual route suddenly locks all doors and begins to drive out into nowhere, kidnapping all the tired and frustrated people who were only trying to get home after a long day at their meaningless jobs. All the people on the bus must stay on there until they are voted off or achieve freedom through some type of competition. There is no prize for being on the longest; you just want to get off and get home. (Idea strongly based on London Transport)

       I know a song that'll get on your nerves, get on your nerves, get on your nerves.
I know a song that'll get on your nerves....(ad nauseum until freedom).

       That uses an *A demolished - I mean - diminished 5th/added 9th*, doesn't it?

       And here's your host...Dennis Hopper.
"There are ruuules, Jack."

       Like Kramer’s Reality Tour, it could take you to all the local landfills. (Hey, you had your chance to get off…)

       I actually had in mind Cliff Richard (There's a phrase I'd never thought I'd write)

       I braced myself, and, holding tightly to the rail above my head, moved to the front of the speeding bus. "You’re not a real bus driver, are you?” I said.

       He grinned. “Just hold tight and enjoy the ride.”

       The bus accelerated. “Do tour buses always get a police escort?” asked an elderly American lady.

       “I suppose they have to drive so fast because there’s so much to take in,” said another.

       <Keanu Reeves> "We have to keep their interest .... if the ratings drop below 500,000, the Bus is set to detonate ......" </Keanu Reeves>

A female passenger behind the driver wails “we are all going to die...”
<Startled, Pluterday pulls the panic cord on her personal air bag suit, which with a whoosh of CO2 expands around her, trapping her between the seats and propelling her husband out the open window.>

       "Do not attempt to grow a brain!" God that was a bad movie. {Agree to disagree, eg.}
waugsqueke, Mar 05 2003

       That was an EXCELLENT movie. It had excitement, cliche, tension and hilariously bad one liners in just the right mix. And Dennis Hopper. (Yeah, I'm not trying to start an argument).
