Take a young woman, 20-25, who never knew her father. Then take 12 men, aged 45-65, who never knew their daughters. One of them is the real father. Throw them all in a big house and let them sort it out. Someone wins a million dollars at the end.
Might get higher ratings with a more tactful
name. Credit to Dan P. for co-authorship of this idea.

The NY Times recently had an article about doctors confronted with the conundrum about whether to tell families when the results of genetic compatibility tests (for transplants) reveal that one or other sibling has a different father and/or mother. Maybe you could do a spin-off on that theme... |
I doubt 12 men will feel eager to claim parenthood over a bastardette not knowing who gets the 1 million prize. |
The idea sounds really funny, but I don't think it can really be made. |
I think the way the money works on these things is the main contestant (in this case, the Bastardette) winnows the field down. On the final episode, she chooses the "winner." The "winner" can then either choose love (in this case, (hopefully) fatherly love) or cash. If he chooses love, then the main contestant gets the cash. |
the irony of 12 otherwise completely irresponsible men trying to prove their paternity to a (otherwise completely dumped) daughter for money is so mixed up and deliciously ironic that this is abolutely a winner. |
Would be good for about 2 shows, but what do you do for filler? |
We're talking about reality TV here, [Ray], it's all filler. |
Seamy love affairs between bastardette and possible father. Ewwww - what if he is her dad??? That would buy ratings. Gay relationships between dads. Fights (always fights). Flashbakcs with actors showing how dads ditched families. Preaching from dad candidate who has found Jesus. The possiblities are endless! |
All my kittens are little Bastardettes. Funny but there is still a stigma associated. |
How about a sperm donor dad and his dozen bastardettes? |
Safe idea if they join hands, vote one among them, and split the million. They still get $84,000 each... |
I think this is just about the best idea you could have in this category. + |

//sperm donor dad//
"Joe's Million Heirs" ?? |
They do this on "Maury" every day. |
Coining new insults for women I see. |
I wonder if the fact that Fox is now actually going to do this makes this idea better or worse (see link). |
[Dimie] you munkeybung! What is your new email address? I am sure that Fox stole the idea from you, right here. |
That's just about fucked up enough for
me to watch. |
