Individual cubicles are mounted on a free-floating floor so that each cubcile is independent and can drift freely. Currents generated by the footsteps of office-workers walking around cause minute cubicle drift during the day. Cubicles slowly "migrate" around the office at random during the day.
Magnetic
strips are mounted on the outside of cubicle walls so cubicles never collide or crush workers.
RFID keychain and sensor network guides you to your cubicle if you can't find it in the morning.

Never send faxes again. I'm only voting for this if the cubicles (at random) can make it out the door. |

Thought this was going to be about German office furniture. |

What K sra said. Yeah, I'd vote for
an out of the office accessory, too. |

Can you make the magnetic strips reversible in polarity? Sometimes I may want to stick to a specific cube for a while (wipe that grin off your face, its purely professional) or I may want to crush some co-worker (oops, wrong polarity). If a nasty boss with a heart pace maker walks by I could pulse the magnetic field to turn off the pace maker. |

i'm just surprised you added the magnetic safety strips...it's so not [DeathNinja] if you know what I mean. |

anyway i can control my cube? |

I like this ideaexcept for the anti-collision strips. Let them collide, I say!
I see two cubicals approaching. Very, very slowly. Then they collide. Groaning, one drives under the other, throwing up a mountain range of cubicals. The highest points of the range become the goal of the most adventurous in the office, who doff their high heels and scale them when the boss isnt watching, leaving post-it notes waving from the peaks. |

Gasp! <holds hand to heart> Bliss, bless you girl, for you noticed I was gone...and cared. <wipes away tear> |

Can we have earthquakes and rift valleys full of ancient documents and volcanoes that spout random memoranda? +! |

you know death, I keep reading the title of this horribly wrong. |

Couldn't we all just scratch the 'physically moving' part and go for something that would have an 'emotional' affect... like each cubical has holographic technology built into it's walls, as well as fans and other sensation inducing devices (er...if you like... ). Slowly the cubical would move from country to country and you could watch the wonderful landscape crawling past - people would WANT to go to work - IT WOULD BE GREAT! |

yeah... replace the management with them (does anyone else sign up to Daily Dilbert??? or DNRC???) |
