Team Boxing
Just like regular boxing except two teams of eleven boxers fighting as a group all at once | |
The ring would probably be about the size of an ice
hockey rink. Each team would come out from their side
when the bell rang and brawl for 3 minutes until the bell
rang again, at which time they'd go back to their corners
to
rest for the next round.
The group strategies that would be employed
could be
very
interesting. Yes, you could double up on a guy, but that
leaves a team member of yours fighting two guys from
the
other side.
You obviously couldn't have 11 refs in the ring so some
kind
of electronic method of stopping a boxer would have to
be
used, a shock collar or something a-la Star Trek. When a
guy's had enough, the team of refs on the side hit the
other
boxer's button as a signal for him to stop. The boxer
that's
down gets one as well telling him to stay down until he's
looked at and deemed ok to go on fighting.
This would go on for 3 to 12 rounds or until the last man
is
standing.
Another Halfbakery idea comes to fruition.

So it's like hurling, only without weapons. |
|
|
So... ice hockey with more guys and without the sticks. |
|
|
Ice hockey without the ice. |

Just last night, someone proposed this as an actual idea. Admittedly it was with some foam rubber and the "chukkas" were 30 min in length. |

Change the title to "Fart Club" and I will call you Cornelius.... |
|
|
Well, they did it. Don't know if they got the idea from
here or not, but 5 years later it's being done. See
link. |

I'd be surprised if they didn't get the idea from here.
Boxing's been around since 688 bc, team sports have
been around for about the same amount of time, 5
years after putting the two together is suggested
here somebody else just happens to come up with it?
Eh, maybe, but I doubt it. |

I think it would be confusing and they'd block the action. |

//Team Boxing// Is this not already baked as
Football Supporting? |
