OK. You've seen the clever caller-id, phone number log, and even messaging. What about adding to your phone really useful stuff like:

can/bottle opener; lighter (for starting fires; scissors; emergency flares.

I mean, think how cool you would look opening a bottle of Heiniken with your little wireless phone?

       I was just about to type this one in myself - but I was beaten to the punch. All cell phone cases are made of plastic - the same kind of plastic that the handles of Swiss Army Knives are made from. Therefore - I propose make aftermarket cell phone batteries that has a Swiss Card with a pen, scissors, knife, flashlight (torch), toothpick and tweezers built in.([see link --jutta]) A bottle cap opener could easily be implemented with a metal insert on one end. Even a version that clipped to the back of a cell phone would do very well.

       Nail file and screwdrivers. Awl and saw would be nice, too, in case the rescue team can't get to you right away. Yep, yep, yep. This stuff would sell for the same reason SUVs sell.   

       Cell phones should also float and have magnets on the back so you can stick them on the fridge.

       you can buy modified covers for many nokia phones. they sell some pretty special ones in a grungy indoor market near me. some have little torches shining out the top, and i saw a scary one that has a retractable stanley knife blade that retracts into the gap between the cover and the battery. who buys these things?
