A swedish round age, triggers at 0.5, 1.5, 2.5, etc years.
Thus, everyone's age more closely resembles the number they claim, as a 40-year old will be somewhere between 39.5 and 40.4999.
This is not about birthdays, but calculated legal age for various privileges, such as going on giant bouncy
castles or driving.

I put together a Swedish round table not too long ago and it was just a really bad ikea. |
It's not about parties. Edited to get more to the spirit of it. |
Yeah it's sort of swedish fishing for an idea. Not many like it |
OK I thought it was just about parties. |
Are you sure there's not a party on we could go to? No? Oh, OK. |
Anyway back to the idea. Seeing how everything is computerised these days, why not have everyone's age recorded in seconds? All you have to do is record DOB as UNIX time and let the system calculate the current age, and represent it as preferred (floating point decimal years might be most appropriate for everyday use). |

And another thing, there is no reason why the legal age limit for going on a giant bouncy castle, or driving, should be an integer age. In fact a lot of things would be more interesting if things were not kept as integer multiples. |

When children are little, months are used, up to around 24 then it goes to years. So optionally you could just use that. |

"Lordy Lordy look whose 480!" |

//ages...Bible characters// Yes, living to the age of 900 is less impressive when you realize age was counted in moons (29.5 days ≈30 days) yielding a ripe 30-year-old Elder, who probably had lost most of his teeth. |
Given that people began reproducing around about age 12-14, this could allow for a person of 30 to be a grandfather/mother, or possibly even a great-grandperson if two someone's in a row had birthed/fathered a baby at 10*. |

*Up until very recently, the average age of first-time mothers in Newfoundland was 12. Yes, I said 'average', and I meant it. |
As per the last anno and the last link, how is this accepted as sane? |
Does nobody think for themselves anymore? Your government or dictator controls you do they? |

// average age of first-time mothers // |

So the citizens of Newfoundland were doing their utmost to keep the population going. I imagine the grandparents were doing most of the parenting? |
