It's a summer's evening, and conversation at your dinner party has slowed a little as everyone waits for the next course. This is easily remedied; you pick up the metal salt cellar and hurl it through the window. The glass shatters outwards; much interested chatter ensues. At a convenient moment, another
film-wrapped pane of sugar glass can be fetched from the freezer, unwrapped and dropped into place. When you think there's a reasonable chance that nobody else is going to try to imitate the feat, ordinary glass may be replaced in the frame.
At pre-agreed intervals, usually once a month, a new stack is delivered in a chilled courier vehicle, cut to the size(s) required. For a small extra monthly charge, a suitably-sized freezer can be supplied for the duration of the subscription.

Bogart and Bacall used to have a local carpenter permanently on call to fix the bits of house they broke/shot while having drunken arguments. They could probably have done with this too. |

The biggest problem with this is that sugar glass is not very stable, hence the freezer. Is there anything that could be added to the mix (currently, little more than sugar and water) that would improve its stability? |

Perhaps a little fused silica? |

Why thankyou. Your suggestions have been noted... |

'some more crushed glass with your tea grandma?' |

I'd be leaping through the window regularly. |

Yeah, I was also thinking it would cause more comment to hurl one of the dinner guests through the window, rather than a mere salt shaker... |

Those intraspective moments are, in my opinion, the best. Why get rid of them? |

You know it's been a good night out when your clothes are all sticky in the morning. |

Perfect for the home bar with an "old west saloon" theme. Could EZ-break barstools be part of a "deluxe" subscription package? |

//"old west saloon"// Don't forget the EZ-break bannisters too. |
