Stupidity Blocker
Protects you from the what the hell was I thinking last night syndrome | |
I'll assume someone has already thought of this but if not here goes. Your computer senses the smell of alcohol on your breath and automatically goes in to default mode. All posts, submissions and emails are then saved in a send later file that you will be reminded of the following day. You will then
be able to decide whether or not to send the before mentioned material. It would prevent you from telling your Mother-in-Law what you really think about her. LOL.

This product might not appeal to all but anyone who has sent out a nasty email on a Saturday night knows where I'm coming from. LOL |

If you lose the ability to be diplomatic while drinking, then either stop drinking, or stay away from the keyboard. Seems like a no-brainer. And if you can't follow that logic while under the influence, then definitely stop drinking. |

Ok Mr. Bush. I'll take your advice. Can I offer you a pretzel? |
It's actually a pretty good idea, especially if you use your computer to do most of your communication. |

I never insult people via my PC when drunk, but often find myself making posts in forums (fora?) and sending emails to friends that not only make sense but seem to be the most brilliant, witty and incisive comments I've ever made, only to be revealed as the drunken bletherings of a senseless inebriate upon re-reading when sober. |
And you don't think that those ramblings are insulting ? |

Cars should be able to know what the speed limit is in any given area by detecting an RF field as it passes by a speed limit sign and warn you when you're over 4-5 miles per hour over the speed limit... I think something like this doesn't exist because it would kill revenue for the cities and states |

I could use an e-mail stupidity filter that works by some other means. Since I can't use alcohol as an excuse, can someone come up with a sensor that detects when I'm being an insensitive jerk? |
Darn. Was hoping this was a new form of birth control for people with IQs under 120.... |

//Can someone come up with a sensor that detects when I'm being an insensitive jerk?// Check for a pulse?<g> |

Until just now, I was under the impression that nobody here actually knows me. |
I have been expecting someone to offer free product testing. |
Would we need a standardized ISO-jerk in order to calibrate it? I wonder if Steve Martin is available... |
How about a prerequisite skill game, program, sobriety test (that can be initiated before you start drinking for X amount of hours) that you have to pass in order to send a email.. Seems simple enough
So do I win a prize now? |
does anyone know - can the mouse be used to pick up your relative drug/alcohol limit via the fingertips? |
or maybe a default setting based on time of day - Friday arvo, Sat night, sunday morning when hung over - all emails put in box for Monday morning review when hopefully you are sensible. |

PS. can I add that there was no reference to Jerry McGuire being drunk when wrote he issued that corporate mission. Just purely inspired (vomit). |
