Stonehenge Table

A glass table-top using a Stonehenge model as support.

In stone of course... or wood: works nice with thick oak.

For the picnic-table version the megalith is reconstructed; the inner horseshoe supports the tabletop while guests sit around the outer circle.

(I was quite shocked that nobody's apparently done this before.)

       Maybe it was a table to begin with but the druids overseeing the construction were really far away.

       <gratuitous factoid>

       Actually, Stonehenge predates the druids by several milennia.

       It would be nice to see the Stonehenge site properly restored, with all the fairground booths and the little monorail running round the top and everything …

       Sounds like they were pretty far away to me.
