It's obvious when you're on the web instead of working - even from a long way off. Web sites have a different shape to office type applications.

But HTML is just a mark-up language, not the law; so the text from a web site can be presented in any way you choose. The stealth browser can be furnished with a variety of interface skins to suit the user's profession: spreadsheet, document, page of C++ code and so on. No casual observer would know the difference unless they got really close.

This site could be re-shaped quite easily; the ones with vast numbers of pictures could not. That may be a good thing where your job security is involved.

Unfortunately for me, the problem is that the entire site is blocked outside of 12-2pm.

Man, that thing *really* hurts your eyes.

Totally baked....there's a version of Mozilla (aka Netscape browser) by the name of Ghostzilla that renders web pages in a text-only format inside the window of some other application. See link.

May I ask you something, is this so you can come on HalfBakery.com more often while you are supposed to be working? I would sadly admit while i am in school i am a frequent visitor to this site while on my laptop, luckily my screen faces away from the teacher.

[krelnik] - thanks, I hadn't heard of that before. Not too surprised that someone already baked this one.

[JCL2004] - Yes. I like to think that 0.5B refreshes the parts of the brain that working doesn't.

If using Internet Explorer, you can make it less obvious: simply remove the address bar and standard buttons (by right-clicking on the menu bar) and resize the window to blend in with a sub-window of Outlook, Visual Studio, or similar application.

You can also use Internet Explorer's Accessibility options (Tools|Internet Options, then General tab, Accessibility button) to remove colours from web pages so everything appears black and white. For added discreetness, turn down the colour and contrast of your browser so everything looks more black and white or grey.
