Are you tired of, when you want to turn a lamp on or off, sticking your hand up under the lamp's shade and fumbling for the switch? I am.

My idea is for a pressure-sensitive-pad toggle switch to be built into the neck of the lamp at one point, usually a little ways below the light bulb. If the user then wishes to turn the lamp on or off, s/he can just squeeze the lamp in the specified spot. Simple, and much less trouble.

There are lights that you can turn on/off just by touching them. It's hard to improve on that. The limitations are that they are metal and they don't work if you wear gloves or poke it with a banana.
