Spray Vodka

Because drinking too much is never a good thing...

I would never advice drinking at work... but every now and then a little bit (spelt very little bit) can be a good thing. carrying a bottle around all day is clearly not a good idea. but what about a vodka bottle that is like a perfume spray? it has a little pump mechanism that sprays the smallest ammount of vodka on the tongue. never enough to get you drunk just perfect to temporarily satisfy the tongue. It tastes good... has the desired effect of getting people a little relaxed and the bottle looks cool and can be used discretely.

I'd just link to Al-Anon directly (a group for people affected by family members or friends' alcoholism), but their site is awfully thin on text (it will, however, get you the address of a meeting near you.) [jutta, Oct 27 2004]

someone told me that spraying diluted vodka deters my cats from using the *wrong* littertray. not sure if that experiment was successful though.
po, Oct 25 2004

[Po] that might be an excellent application. does it work for pets in general or just cats?
nomadic_wonderer, Oct 25 2004

Effectively inhaling vodka then. May be a lot stronger than you expected.
harderthanjesus, Oct 25 2004

I believe it does work but then you have to find their new *favourite* little corner.

       Vodka polo's ?
skinflaps, Oct 25 2004

Wonderful! Now you can reek like an alcoholic and not *actually* be a drunk at the same time! Super for the office new-guy who wants to make the right impression!

isn't vodka the one drink that doesn't leave a fragrance?
po, Oct 25 2004

Yes [po], you're right. Vodka doesn't make the drinker reek of alcohol, which is why they banned the use of water bottles by students back when I was in high school (at my HS, at least). Students would fill them with vodka and drink throughout the day.

I'd rather just have a martini sometime during the day rather than spray vodka on my tongue every hour or so.

what happened to the anno that contradicted both of us - between?
po, Oct 25 2004

and the humble potato cleaned the art masterpieces apparently - lets hear it for the potato or the potarto!
po, Oct 25 2004

Yay potarto! Now what are we talking about?
Worldgineer, Oct 25 2004

u say potarto and I say potato - lets call the whole thing orf!
po, Oct 25 2004

See link for a non liquid alcohol dispensing system, though that isn't the idea, I don't think.

The idea, it seems, is to avoid the shame of alcoholism by putting vodka in a perfume bottle-like container, so that no-one will notice you being an alkie when they notice you spraying perfume on your tongue like some kind of mentalist. There may be logic here but it is of a kind I have never encountered in all my puff.

       puff?! strange man...

Potential applications as a spray-on antiseptic?
vigilante, Oct 25 2004

My potatoes are lazy, they won't clean my artwork. They just sit in their bin in the pantry. *huff*
Machiavelli, Oct 25 2004

so the idea is : "put alcohol in a spray". It's not hugely innovative or original is it?
jonthegeologist, Oct 27 2004

Vodka can't be smelled?! I can certainly smell it on someone's breath and even their skin. It's distinct and I think it's a strong odor.
bristolz, Oct 27 2004

<edit>'anyone who would say that doesn't know anything about alcoholism.' You're wrong. </e>

See [contracts], I don't care if you aprove my perspectives or not. I deleted my annos precisely because you don't seem to understand what I said, and because I don't want to sound like you.
Pericles, Oct 27 2004

So pericles - you'll be the phantom reason that po started on about the potartoes. Or was that just po being po?
wagster, Oct 27 2004

Oh no no no, wagster. I was having a topic-related argument with contracts until I decided it wasn't worth it and deleted my annos.
