Spittoon
Rephase spitoons back into popular fashion, with a few improvements... | |
I find it odd that spitoons are no longer common place as, especially during the colder months, they would be almost as useful as Douglas Addams's towel.
While they could still be used for chewing tobacco, I think having one in ones own room/cubicle, with a disposeable, anti-bacterial liner on
the inside of the neck, would be useful for getting rid of loogies without wasting tissues or time wandering to the bathroom. And the pleasant "ting" would be a bonus as well. While you're at it, the anti-bacterial lining makes this useful for all other garbage of questionable sanitary status.
They could also be made smaller, a version 4-5inches tall could easily fit into my coat pockets. A great gift for the chronically-congested-on-the-go businessperson in your life.

Rephased or not, spitoons are cool. In concert with the technology that gave us the popular singing mounted fish, one could make a mint from a crooning cuspidor.
You could market it as The... |

No. I've learned better in my short time here. |

I gave up trying to find it online, but a friend of mine used to have a little Skoal spittoon. Made of plastic, but shaped just like the brass ones, with a lid that had a 'toilet mint' type air freshener in it. |
