Rather than displaying a crude single number of junk mail messages, have a detailed breakdown supplied by means of this applet (is applet the right word?). SpamVisualiser crawls your junk mail folder, "reading" the mail. The information collected is displayed in a small box in the following manner:

"Your junkmail promises to:
1. Enlarge your penis by a total of X inches
2. Allow you to meet a total of X women
3. Make a total of $X"

Maybe make the display graphical, with, for example, a little naked man standing, smiling, hands on hips, his penis growing with each category 1 mail message received until it's coiled around his leg/you empty your folder >link<. On second thoughts, maybe not.

Annotation:

I think not. I've received an alarming number of spam messages from ladies who like horses recently. And I don't think they're like [Susen].

Title Misconception: I was thinking of a set of plug-in visualizations for Windows Media Player that featured the yummy pork product of the Hormel Corporation. [link]

I think you mean "summarise" rather than "visualise".

Yeah, [Aritso]. I think I mean "Spam Summary Visualisations." I think. Title changed.

Lovely idea. Include a visual for the amount of free cable I'd be able to get and the number of scantily-clad women I'd be able to see with hidden X-Cams.
[jutta] - but how would the moderator of such a webpage know that you were forwarding real spam? You could, if you were really, really bored/pathetic be forwarding fake spam, just to win the girth/length/$$$ race.

//how would the moderator of such a webpage know that you were forwarding real spam?//
[hippo], the web site could guesstimate the spam volume, from a random sampling, and have a Large Penis Display (LPD) that continually counts, based on the current rate. The SpamVisualiser can also have an option of sending the spam data. It's possible to forward the spam to one’s elf, but one would grow tired of that quickly.

Isn't it illegal to forward spam to elfs?
