Solve the latest ecological faux pas with soy!

One of the greatest ecological issues of our time (if saving the planet is your thing) is the deforestation of the jungles and rain forests in Africa. A recent side affect of this is the ever increasing problem of the consumption of "bushmeat". Bushmeat consists of great apes who are hunted in great numbers and sold as food, as the jungle is harvested for wood (see link below). Many young gorillas and chimps are orphaned as a result of this and the population of these already endangered animals is becoming even more scarce. Worse yet the consumption of bushmeat has been linked to the spread of several diseases including HIV and even Ebola. One would think that the consumption of ape would only be necessitated by desperate hunger. This does not seem to be the case though, as there are a number of ways to prepare gorilla, apparently. My solution is a simple one. Take the existing technology of alternative, soy based meat, and apply it to bushmeat. Make imitation gorilla, or "Soy-rilla" or even "chimpanzoy" And distribute it to the local natives who have been eating the real thing. Furthermore, to help them afford the product, build processing plants in nearby areas and pay them to make the stuff. Then when they take their wages and buy "bush-soy" they are reinvesting in the company and everyone is happy.

You haven't addressed the main problem, as stated by your elf, of the deforestation. This appears to be for other commercial porpoises and the by-product is a lot of dead semi-bipeds, so they may as well be eaten.

True. Deforestation and destruction of habitat are an issue in need of addressing, but for the purpose of this product, the problem of bushmeat is the one we're attempting to solve.
