Solar office tower

Inegrate a solar tower into a highrise building

most peopel here are probably familiar with the basic idea idea of the solar tower.

Rather than building the solar tower as a stand-alone structure, why not design a high-rise office or apartment building around a central shaft which would function as a soler tower?

The area under the collector could function as a car park.

The building's airconditioners and elevators et cetera could dump their waste heat into the central shaft allowing some of their energy to be recovered.

       [21 Quest]: I guess [Iangould] is talking about one of those towers harvesting turbine power from rising hot air, your idea is not.   

       It would seem this idea needs an office building surrounded by lots of desert, which, even in Dubai, does not happen. Office towers are in cities.
