Now I don't encourage people to gamble because of this idea, but this should be a good idea.

So,you put a quarter ($0.25) into the Soda Pop Roulette machine, you choose your soda, and so the roulette wheel starts to spin, and if it lands on your chosen soda, you get that soda and get back a dollar in change. JACKPOT!

But if it lands on another soda, you only get that soda and no money back.

and there will also be a "Random" space where the machine chooses for you,so after reading this, are you feeling lucky? :--)

Random soda http://www.halfbake.../idea/Random_20Soda
great idea [neilp, Oct 04 2004]

At a prior job, there was a vending machine in the snack room that did something similar. Randomly, after putting in your money and choosing your item, it would flash "YOU WIN!" on the display and give you both your item and your money back.

so you pay a quarter (they must be pretty small cans of soda)... pick a soda ... the machine gives you a random soda ... and if your pick and the machines pick match, you get a dollar?

I thought from the title that this would be a version of the old "fizzy drink Russian Roulette"-eroo.

so.. quite similar to (link) but with the $1 back roulette option..

Still waiting for the snack craps table and blackjack

//Still waiting for snack machine craps and blackjack//

A snack machine labeled "craps" may generate much interest but little revenue.

Man, I should write fortune cookies.

Not the automated type ... like goto the table, throw some bones, and maybe get an extra bag of crisps ... although I DID say "machine" ... I'll edit that out ... OK, there's just no rectifying craps and snacks in the same sentence.
Letsbuildafort, Dec 09 2003

[Worldgineer] You definately should. That one could bugger up a game of "...in bed" marvelously.
