I'm a smoker, not proud to say it, believe me..
I recently bought a pair of really nice warm gloves and they work great. However, when I take a break from work and go out for a cigarette, I quite often get clumsy with it. What I propose is a glove with individual velcro attachments for each finger.
For those smokers out there, you can detach the thumb forefinger and middle while keeping the rest of your fingers toasty warm. This would not necessarily be JUST for smokers either. Basically anything you want to do with your any of your fingers would work perfectly. For instance you dropped some change on the ground. Ever try to pick up change with gloves on? Or if you feel the urge to do some fine-knitting crochet in the middle of January :). For those times when you just need certain fingers, this would be a perfect product.
Let me stress that I acknowledge that there are many "fingerless" gloves on the market, although this product would allow to detach individual fingers as needed. So instead of freezing all of your fingers, you may only need to freeze the ones in use. :)
why did you delete my link to fingerless gloves? Huh!

You could get a cigarette holder, then you could keep your gloves on all the time. Although you might then look stupid. Of course this would not solve the problem of needing to pick your nose in an emergency! |

Go to any store (preferably in a cold area) that sells hunting equipment and look for shooting gloves. They're available with removable fingertips so you can get your finger inside the triggerguard. I suppose this would work just as well for your purposes too. |
