Think of it as a starting point for your species ...

Many members of your species have gained an understanding that mobile communications and computation devices are very useful. But since these devices have not yet been integrated with your biological systems, difficulties arise, as some individuals experience problems walking and texting at the same time.

Now, with the new BorgCo "Third Eye", say goodbye to tripping over kerbs, bumping into pedestrians, or walking into lamp-posts. Worn on an adjustable elasticated headband, and resembling a small head flashlight angled upwards at 45 degrees, the high quality colour camera transmits a streamed image over Bluetooth to the smartphone handset, where it appears in a small window, allowing a head-down phone user to "see" what's in front of them - even when preoccupied with their latest Twitter or Facebook posting.

Implantable version to be available soon.

A tiny rear (or forward in this case) view mirror mounted on the phone would work just as well, but why limit ourselves to stone age tech when there's an excuse to use Bluetooth. [+]
