Slushy Carpet

Winter is here in the UK, and it's time to anticipate the realities of the crisp white snow being churned into a mud laced mulch, which is then transported indoors between the cleats and treads of outdoor shoes and boots.

Slushy Carpet addresses the obvious problems this presents.

It's an inner front door mat printed to look like you recently walked over it in boots that had been through muddy, slushy snow, so that when you actually do tramp in wearing muddy boots, it looks just the same.

A woman would never have posted this - I think my other half would vomit just thinking about it!

could do various house carpets made out of seconds and samples: pizza slices, furball, cigarettes, splattered liquids; perfect for dorm rooms... but I digress [+]

Hm. Some people don't have shoeracks inside the front door, it seems.

We need some sort of quick boot wash/dry solution that can be set up by your 'muddy' entrance. Let's say, on entry you step into a weight switched tray that fills about an inch deep with hot water, then press the soles of your boots against the rotating brushes, As you step out of the tray onto a hot air vent that dries your boot soles, the weight release on the tray causes the water to drain and rinse.

In my case, I'd need knee and hand prints upon the mat.[+]

Maybe you could add a couple of hoof prints, just to provide a little intrigue.
