This sink and the surrounding counter space is chilled to a bit above the freezing temperature of water. As a result dishes left in or by the sink don't start to stink and collect enough water through condensation to be easier to wash once you get around to them.

Would freezing water to a dish, then breaking the ice off,
remove all residues etc? Might need a (nanoscale?)
hydrophobic surface treatment. |
