Shwaz!
Frozen Vichyssoise on a stick. | |
I can't claim complete originality here, this originated with my ex-girlfriend's father. It is so simple, it is brilliant. May only be able to achieve its apotheosis in "la belle France". Imagine this rolled in chopped chives, al la sprinkes...

I have no idea what this means, but it sure smells like a recipe! |

No, not a recipe. Vichyssoise is a classic french dish, cold potato soup (often with a sprinkling of chives as a garnish). This is a marketing/delivery idea. Imagine the scene...a hot summer day in the city, ahead a man in a paper hat pushes an umbrella cart, just the refreshment the cultured gourmet is dreaming of: Shwaz! |

I think [mrohdie] is right in that this is not really a recipe... I think we could probably get him on gross-out humor though. Potato soup popsicles? Ugh |
|
|
Mhhh. Chives. I may try this out. May the Shwaz be with you!
(And no, this is not just a recipe, take that stupid tag down already.) |

In the frozen foods aisle next to the bouillabaisse bars. I don't think this is a recipe, either. It's a new product, new form factor, for soup. |
|
|
I also think the French language comment is frivolous. |

I'm so far from a good potato soup right now I'd take this in a heartbeat. |

"Garçon, what is this fly doing on my soupe aux pommes de terre du jour?" "Looks like it tried to take a lick and its tongue froze to it." |
