Shrinking Rubber Paper

a little rubber, no one will suspect...

A sturdy metal frame, 8.5" by 11". A box of little rubber squares no more than a inch wide. Stretch (by pulling a lever) one over the frame. Now you have a rubber sheet for your diabolical plans. Write with water proof ink. Let it dry. Take it off the frame and it snaps back to 1 inch wide. Now mail it to someone with the same gizmo. Or just snap it across the room… like a rubber band.

Put a lamp under your rubber paper and project it on the ceiling, or just seem more evil while writing.

I did this in elementary school with balloons. Secret messages would go whizzing across the class to someone else. They would inflate it later to read the message. Thanks for bringing back that memory. +

       Hmm...text compression.

Make that sturdy metal frame collapsible and improve the portability of books?

What are those latex squares called that dentists use? Get some of those and cut them down for the writing surface.

I always liked the way ink gets all velvety and rich looking when you draw on a balloon and then shrink it.

[beany], you should try writing on an [unpeeled] banana with a ballpoint pen. You will immediately see that banana-skin paper would enhance everyone's writing experience immensely.
