Shrink wrapping paper

Quick, easy gift wrapping for the wrapping inept

This is an adaptation of industrial shrink wrap, for use as gift wrap. The fundamental difference being aesthetics. Simple colours and patterns will work best, as anything too intricate will warp when stretched (blue for boys, pink for girls, stars for christmas, bunnies at easter etc.). I am well aware that some presents may require multiple layers to hide them from view, but I figure that the cheap cost of the product can justify doing so.

I see this as the "fast food" of wrapping- a means to an end for a group of people (mostly men, I would have thought) who either dont have enough time to spend on careful wrapping or simply dont care enough about the recipient to warrant spending the required time wrapping their present (despised relatives, for example).

I have referenced the below links, they are different solutions to the same problem.

the wax wrap above is just as easy!

[po], I fully read through that idea. I disagree, I think the effort needed to melt/unwrap/vacuum/store the wax makes it more of a luxury and less of a convenience.

[po], In what way exactly would the wax wrap be "just as easy". I'm mentally comparing shrink wrap with the mess of making candles. Yikes!

This is Baked. We've talked about it before.

No, I can't find one quickly. But I did before, so maybe search the HB.
