Based on the ice-cream van principle, these gaily-coloured vans cruise around the neighbourhood, playing a tune: Rip it up and start again? Torn?

Upon hearing the tinkly music, residents rush out of their houses with their sensitive documents, which are then duly, and very finely, shredded.

These exist--and have existed for a long time--for business however they are generally somewhat non-descript looking. One thing they are not, though: quiet.

Could the shreddings be used as fuel? That would be cuel.

what tune would this van play?

I could have sworn I heard an ice-cream van play a classical piece the other day!

You could use the shredded paper as green blown in insulation in your house, although i think they already turn paper and bottles into foam. and shredded paper MIGHT be just a little flammable in the house
