Forget piling all your junk in the supermarket into a trolley then have them put it into bags and then back into a trolley for you to put in your car. Simply wheel your own trolley in, load up, pay and put it back into the trolley then hitch it to your car and drive home. No more effing bags!

[+] This is workable! I've seen small road worthy trailers that are as small or smaller than shopping carts. Typically, these are two wheeled models, so your invention would have to include a 3rd or 4th wheel that could be raised when on the road. The additional weight needed to make this thing road worthy would be negligable since the shopper would rarely have to lift it. |

|
Why do you need a third wheel? Those shopping trolleys for old dears which seem to be invariably tartan-patterned do perfectly well with 2 and a square base for resting. |

Incidentally, 2 wheely shoppy trolley things are known as "Thatthingthatothergranniespullbehindthem"s in my family, refering to a quote from my brother when he was 3 years old. For some reason my old dear always pushes hers. |

Trips to get a mont's worth of groceries would be possible if taking your motorcycle! ... you'd look dorky as hell riding a sportbike, and towing a trailer ... at any rate, enjoy the bun! [+] |

Also, you could make the doors and aisles in the supermarket wider so you wouldnt have to unhitch the thing from your car. |

Something tells me the supermarkets wouldn't want a heavy greasy ball-hitch trailer going up and down their aisles. |
