When I wear a shirt and tuck it in, it bunches up when I sit down and straightens when I stand up. The Shirtwinder would be a set of four piece of elastic fabric that attach to the front and back of a pair of pants with alligator-type clips that attach to the shirt. The clips can be moved up or down
to adjust the strength of the pull. It would make it so when you sit down, the front of the shirt retracts into the pants.
Sock Garters
http://store1.yimg....-store_1826_5673081 I have sets that attach your socks to your shirt and accomplish this. They are adjustable, because socks come in different lengths. [contracts, Jan 09 2005]

Hm...maybe a SkirtWinder would attract more attention... |

When I was a child in school a classmate brought in some of her uncle's inventions to show the rest of the class (this was the second or third grade and "show and tell" was still a prominent weekly event). |

The invention was called "Down in Front" and it served a purpose much like what's described in this idea. The girl mentioned that the product was a failure because the clips tended to shred the shirt tails. |

Rig this wrong and you'll end up with a shirtlifter.....not that there's anything wrong with that.... |

How about a shirt with a little bit of stretch? Use a fabric that looks just like regular cotton shirting, but has 5% Spandex woven in for a little extra give. Some women's blouses use this. I don't know why it's not available for men - are wrinkles more macho? |

Right, I've got them like contracts links to, but my preferred type wraps around the bottom of my foot, rather than clipping to the sock. |

// are wrinkles more macho? // Some of us hand-wrinkle our shirts before we wear them... :P |
