Self inflating breast implants

breast implants that inflate after implanting

A collapsed plastic bag with an osmosis valve/pump attached. The plastic bag has measured amount of salt in it and the osmosis valve membrane allows water from the blood plasma to pass into the bag until the osmotic pressure is equal inflating the bag with just the right amount of saline. Since the bag is collapsed the incision need to implant the bag is smaller than a traditional operation would need. Since the bag inflates slowly it may reduce the discomfort of the surgery

Traditional inflatable breast implant (Photo) http://www.justbrea...trum_add_saline.htm
Hm! Turns out post-op inflation is already common practice, but nothing osmosis-based, just valves.
These pictures might make people uneasy who don't like syringes or don't like breasts. [jutta, Oct 31 2005]

BRAVA Breast augmentation http://www.breastim...om/brava_breast.htm
Uses skin tension (suction) to cause tissue growth in the breast - supposedly you can gain a cup size using this method. I wonder if it works for other body parts? [Adze, Oct 31 2005]

"Why", wondered Roeland for the hundredth time, "did Jane's breasts seem to deflate every time she drank Gatorade..?"

Good idea! I think the tricky thing will be the semipermeable membrane.

Why do they have to be self-inflating? I'd be very happy to blow them up.

That Brava deal just makes tissue fluid move into the breasts, so they swell. You could inject a salty solution or some sort of sugar into the breast (or anywhere else) which would do the same thing, until the molecules diffused away. It would probably last long enough for your catwalk appearance or to saunter across the nude beach.

i so would love to have this done....i wonder if any doctor in the USA would do it

The less invasive point is a good one.

Nothin worse than taking a hot stripper home. Home only to see a battle scared breast.

Could the Bag be inserted and then , via a small needle hole, filled with whatever is clever, fake-boobie, materials?

There's a foam which can be used, and a gel which expands in contact with water.

       got a link to it?

I think the results would be bad. I assume that the surgeon places the implant carefully to get the right shape; you might find that your breasts inflate into strange and unforeseen shapes.

Ahhhh. Ok. Possibly in the future endoscopic techniques would allow scraping of tissues to better situate the inflatable. Until then I wish for truly managamas marred women whom could afford this surgery. Instead spend the money on importing from many a third world country, a pinch hitter breasted female. Cost would be cheaper and no invasive surgery. and it helps out globally!

The homeland security fellas here in the USA along with immigration surly will make a special entry visa available for this.

might be easiest...and funnest...but it sure aint the quickest
